Account integrity
Every account on Yamunaa must belong to a real person or a real, verified business, and must be honest about who it is. Sellers go through KYC before they can list. We do not allow fake accounts, impersonation, or running more accounts than you are allowed to, especially to get around limits or enforcement.

What's not allowed
- Creating accounts with fake names, fake phone numbers, virtual numbers or stolen identity documents.
- Pretending to be another person, brand, store, Yamunaa staff or a government body.
- Using a brand name, logo or trademark you do not own or have written permission to use.
- Opening a new account after one was suspended, or selling through a friend or relative’s account.
- Running more than one shopper account per person, or more than one seller account per tax ID without approval.
- Buying, selling, renting or sharing accounts, including seller accounts with good ratings.
- Using bots or scripts to create accounts, place orders, follow brands or react to posts.
How sellers are verified
- Identity checks for the owner or authorised signatory, using official ID accepted in their country, such as a passport or national ID card, or PAN and Aadhaar in India.
- A business or tax registration, such as a VAT number, EIN or GSTIN, unless the seller is exempt and has told us so. The registered name must match the business name.
- A bank account in the same name as the business or the owner, checked with a small test deposit.
- Food business registration or licence for food sellers, such as with the local council in the UK or FSSAI in India, and other licences for restricted categories.
- Pickup or store address checked by postcode or PIN code, and for quick stores, a visit or a live video check.
Every seller on Yamunaa is KYC verified. A verified badge on a brand page means we have also confirmed the seller owns or is authorised to sell that brand.
When more than one seller account is allowed
A business with separate tax registrations in different countries or states, or separate physical stores, can ask for extra seller accounts. Each account must be linked to the same owner in Seller Hub and must not be used to split reviews, strikes or fees.
Examples
Allowed
- A family business with two stores in Delhi and Noida running two linked quick store accounts.
- An authorised distributor showing “Authorised seller of Brand X” with the letter uploaded to Seller Hub.
- A parody account for a meme page that clearly says it is a fan account and sells nothing.
Not allowed
- A suspended seller reopening under their spouse’s tax ID with the same products and photos.
- A brand page called “Official Amul Store” run by an unrelated shop.
- A shopper using ten phone numbers to claim the first order discount ten times.
What happens if you break this policy
- Fake accounts and bot accounts are removed without warning.
- Impersonation of a person, brand or Yamunaa is a severe violation and leads to immediate suspension.
- Accounts created to avoid enforcement are suspended, and the original account’s suspension is extended.
- Rewards, cashback and discounts gained through duplicate accounts are reversed.
