Selling on Yamunaa
Listing quality
For sellersUpdated 29 September 2026 Draft for review, final copy from legal
A listing is a promise to the shopper. It must describe exactly what they will receive, with real photos, correct details and every declaration required by law in the countries you sell to. Good listings are easier to find. Misleading ones are removed.
On this page
What every listing must include
- A clear title: brand, product name, variant and size. For example, “Organic India Tulsi Green Tea, 25 bags”.
- At least one photo of the actual product on a plain background, with no watermarks, contact details or borders.
- Price in the shopper’s local currency, including VAT, GST or other taxes where the country requires it, and the maximum retail price where local law requires one, such as MRP in India.
- For pre-packaged goods, the label declarations the delivery country requires. In India, for example, these are the Legal Metrology declarations: name and address of the manufacturer or packer or importer, net quantity, MRP, month and year of manufacture or import, best before date where applicable, and consumer care details.
- Country of origin.
- Seller name, address and tax registration number, such as a VAT number or GSTIN, which Yamunaa shows automatically from Seller Hub.
- Return window and whether the item is returnable.
- For restricted categories, the licence or certification number, such as a food business registration, UKCA or CE certificate, or an FSSAI, BIS or AYUSH licence in India.
What's not allowed
- Photos taken from another seller, a brand’s site or the internet without permission.
- Photos or titles that show a different product, size, colour or quantity than the one sold.
- Keyword stuffing: other brand names, “like Nike”, or unrelated search terms in the title or tags.
- Duplicate listings of the same product to take more space in search.
- Listing in the wrong category to avoid rules or fees.
- Claims you cannot prove: “No. 1 in the country”, “100% cures”, “doctor recommended”, “pure silk” when it is a blend.
- Health claims on food or supplements that the local food regulator does not allow, such as the FSA in the UK, the FDA in the US or FSSAI in India.
- Calling something handmade, handloom, organic, or GI tagged when it is not certified or cannot be shown.
Examples
Allowed
- “Handwoven Chanderi silk cotton saree, 5.5 m with blouse piece, indigo” with photos of that saree.
- “Jaivik Bharat certified organic toor dal, 1 kg” with the certificate number entered.
- A lifestyle photo as the second image, after a clean packshot.
Not allowed
- “Pure Banarasi silk saree” for a polyester print.
- A mixed nuts listing showing a 1 kg pack when the product is 250 g.
- Title: “Kurta for men cotton kurta Fabindia Manyavar style kurta festive kurta”.
- Honey “that cures diabetes”.
Variants and product detail pages
Only combine true variants of the same product, such as sizes or colours, on one page. Different products must not be merged to share reviews. If a brand already has a product page on Yamunaa, add your offer to it instead of creating a new one.
What happens if you break this policy
- Listings missing mandatory declarations are hidden until fixed. You get 7 days before it counts as a strike.
- Misleading listings are removed and count as a strike.
- Repeated misleading listings lead to recommendation limits and category suspension.
