Buying on Yamunaa
Shipping and delivery
Every product on Yamunaa shows when it will reach you before you pay. Quick stores near you usually deliver in 10 to 20 minutes. Marketplace sellers usually deliver in 2 to 5 days within your country, and cross border orders take longer. Timelines can vary by country, and the promise you see already accounts for your address. Sellers must pack safely, dispatch on time and never promise a delivery time they cannot meet.

Quick delivery from local stores
- The estimate shown at checkout is based on your postcode or PIN code, store distance, rider availability and the store’s packing time.
- Stores must start packing within 2 minutes of an order and hand over to the rider sealed.
- Quick delivery is free above a minimum order value, otherwise a small delivery fee applies. A small handling charge applies per order. The exact amounts, in your local currency, are shown in the cart before you pay.
- If a store is out of an item, it must mark it unavailable before packing. You are refunded for it straight away.
Marketplace and cross border shipping
- Sellers must dispatch within the handling time shown on the listing, usually 1 to 2 working days.
- Every shipment gets a tracking number from a Yamunaa courier partner. Self-shipping sellers must upload a valid tracking number within 24 hours of dispatch.
- Marketplace shipping is free for shoppers unless a charge is shown clearly before payment.
- Some postcodes, PIN codes and countries are not serviceable for some items, such as liquids by air. We tell you before you order.
- Delivery times vary by country and are shown on every product before you pay.
- Cross border orders may have customs duties and import taxes. We show them before you pay and, where we can, collect them at checkout so there is nothing extra to pay at the door.
Packaging standards for sellers
- Pack so that items reach the shopper undamaged, with fragile items cushioned and liquids sealed.
- Use tamper evident tape or seals on every package.
- Keep food and non-food items separated, and chilled items in insulated packs.
- Include a local tax invoice, such as a VAT or GST invoice. Do not include flyers that invite direct purchases.
- Avoid single use plastic where alternatives exist, in line with the packaging and plastic waste laws of each country you ship to.
Examples
Allowed
- A handloom seller setting a 3 day handling time for made to order sarees, shown on the listing.
- A quick store marking coriander as out of stock before packing and the shopper getting an instant refund.
Not allowed
- Marking an order shipped before it is handed to the courier.
- Setting a 1 day handling time to win placement, then dispatching after 5 days.
- Delivering a quick order without a tamper seal.
Late, lost or failed deliveries
If a marketplace order is not delivered within 7 days after the promised date, you can cancel it for a full refund, or sooner where your local law allows. If a courier loses a shipment, Yamunaa refunds you first and settles with the seller and courier after. Riders and couriers must not ask for extra money, OTPs for anything other than delivery, or a signature on a blank paper.
What happens if you break this policy
- Late dispatch and cancellation rates are tracked on every seller’s Account Status page.
- Repeated late dispatch or fake tracking leads to strikes, recommendation limits and listing suspension.
- Fake proof of delivery is fraud and leads to immediate suspension.
