Selling on Yamunaa
Advertising and promotions
Brands and stores can promote themselves on Yamunaa with sponsored listings, brand stories, posts, offers and coupons. Every promotion must be honest, clearly labelled and follow our Community Standards and the advertising rules of each country we serve, such as the CAP Code in the UK, EU rules on unfair commercial practices, FTC guidance on endorsements in the US, and the ASCI Code and misleading advertisement guidelines in India. Ads are reviewed before they run.

Every promotion must
- Be clearly labelled as Sponsored or Ad when it is paid for.
- Promote only products that are available on Yamunaa and allowed under our policies.
- Show the real offer terms: minimum order, dates, eligible products and any cap on the discount.
- Use images you own or have the right to use.
- Disclose any paid partnership with a creator or influencer with “Paid partnership” or “Ad”.
What's not allowed
- Misleading claims: “Lowest price anywhere”, “Guaranteed results”, “Clinically proven” without proof.
- Before and after photos for weight loss, skin whitening or hair regrowth.
- Ads that shame bodies, skin colour or appearance, including “fairness” messaging.
- Surrogate advertising for alcohol, tobacco or gambling.
- Ads that target or feature children to sell products unsuitable for them.
- Using another brand’s name or logo in an ad to compare unfairly or mislead.
- Sensational, violent, sexual or shocking images to get attention.
- Political ads, or ads about religion that could cause hostility between groups.
- Contests or giveaways that need a purchase to enter, unless the rules are published and comply with local laws.
Examples
Allowed
- A Sponsored brand story: “New monsoon collection, 20% off till 30 Sep, on orders above the minimum shown.”
- A comparison ad that uses fair, provable facts like “Made with 100% cold pressed oil”.
- A creator post marked “Paid partnership with Yamunaa Bazaar”.
Not allowed
- A skin cream ad showing a darker face turning lighter.
- “Flat 70% off” when only one colour of one item is 70% off.

How ads are reviewed
We use technology and our review team to review every ad before it runs, and again when it is reported. Most ads are reviewed within 24 hours. We can stop an ad at any time if it breaks this policy, and you will not be charged for impressions after we stop it.
What happens if you break this policy
- Ads that break this policy are rejected or stopped, and repeated rejections count as a strike.
- Misleading offers are removed, the shopper gets the advertised benefit, and the cost is recovered from the seller.
- Advertising prohibited products leads to loss of ad access and follows the prohibited items enforcement.
