Community Standards
Bullying, harassment and hate
Messages, reviews, stories, comments and replies must stay respectful. Disagree with a seller or a shopper as much as you like, but attack the product or the service, never the person. We remove abuse and act on the accounts behind it, including sellers who abuse shoppers who leave honest reviews.

What's not allowed
- Threats of violence, including “jokes” about hurting someone or damaging their shop or home.
- Slurs, dehumanising language or stereotypes about religion, caste, tribe, gender, sexual orientation, region, language, disability, skin colour or nationality.
- Repeated unwanted messages after someone has asked you to stop.
- Posting someone’s phone number, address, photos or order details to shame or pressure them.
- Sexual comments, requests or images sent to shoppers, sellers or delivery partners.
- Sellers contacting a shopper to pressure them into changing or deleting a review.
- Calling for a boycott of a seller because of their religion, caste or community.
- Mocking a person’s body, voice, accent or disability in reviews, stories or replies.
Examples
Allowed
- “The delivery was 40 minutes late and the paneer was warm. Very disappointed.”
- A seller replying: “Sorry about this. We have refunded you and changed our packing.”
- A story that criticises a policy or a public figure without abuse or threats.
Not allowed
- A review that uses a caste slur about the shop owner.
- A seller messaging a shopper ten times after a one star review.
- “I know where your shop is” sent to a seller after a dispute.
- A story that claims people from one state are all cheats.
Delivery partners and store staff
People who pack and deliver your order deserve the same respect. Abuse of riders or store staff, in person, in chat or in ratings, is treated the same way as abuse on the platform. Rating a rider down because of their appearance, language or religion is not allowed.
Protecting yourself
- Use Block on any profile or chat. Blocked people cannot message you or see your reviews under your name.
- Use Report on the message or review. You can report without the other person knowing it was you.
- If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first, such as 999 in the UK, 911 in the US, or 112 in the EU and India, then tell us.
Chats on Yamunaa hide phone numbers on both sides. Never share your number or address in chat unless it is needed for an order, and never outside the order flow.
What happens if you break this policy
- Abusive content is removed and counts as a strike.
- Credible threats of violence, sexual harassment and doxxing lead to immediate account suspension and may be reported to the police in the country concerned.
- Sellers who retaliate against honest reviews lose messaging and may have payouts held while we investigate.
