Selling on Yamunaa
Seller fees
For sellersUpdated 29 September 2026 Draft for review, final copy from legal
Opening a store and listing products on Yamunaa is free. We earn a commission when you make a sale, plus fees for optional services like shipping and ads. The full rate card is in Seller Hub, and every fee is shown on your payout statement. We give at least 30 days’ notice before any fee goes up.
Fees you may pay
- Commission: a percentage of the item price, by category. The rate card in Seller Hub shows every category.
- Fixed closing fee: a small fee per order, lower for low value orders.
- Shipping fee for marketplace orders shipped through Yamunaa courier partners, based on weight and distance.
- Payment collection fee on each order.
- Optional: sponsored listings and brand stories, charged per click or impression, with a budget you set.
- Local tax on Yamunaa fees where the law requires it, such as VAT in the UK and EU or GST in India. Registered businesses can usually reclaim it.
Fees we never charge
- No fee to open a store, add products, post stories or reply to shoppers.
- No fee for returns caused by the courier, or for customer cancellations before dispatch.
- No penalty fees for low performance. We use the strike ladder instead.
Fee changes
We tell you at least 30 days before any fee increase, in Seller Hub and by email. Fee decreases and new promotional rates can apply straight away. If you do not agree to a change, you can close your store before it takes effect.
Examples
Allowed
- Pricing a product to cover your commission, as long as the price stays at or below any maximum retail price on the pack.
- Asking for a fee credit when a fee was charged on a cancelled order.
Not allowed
- Adding a “platform fee” to the shopper’s price as a separate line.
- Listing products in a lower commission category to pay less.
What happens if you break this policy
- Miscategorising products to avoid fees leads to fee recovery and counts as a strike.
- Passing Yamunaa fees to shoppers as separate charges is not allowed and the listing is removed.
