Selling on Yamunaa
Seller standards
Selling on Yamunaa is a privilege earned by treating shoppers well. Every seller agrees to these standards when they open a Seller Hub account. We measure them every week, show them on your Account Status page, and act when a seller falls below them. Meeting them earns better placement, the Top Seller badge and faster payouts.
Performance targets
Measured over the last 30 days of orders.
- Order defect rate below 1%: orders with a valid complaint, a return for a seller fault, or a payment dispute.
- Seller cancellation rate below 2.5%: orders you cancel because of stock or pricing problems.
- Late dispatch rate below 4% for marketplace sellers.
- Quick stores: packing started within 2 minutes on 95% of orders, and stock accuracy above 98%.
- Reply to shopper messages within 24 hours, or within 15 minutes for open quick orders.
- Average rating of 3.8 or above once you have 25 or more ratings.
Conduct
- Be honest in every listing, message and post.
- Treat shoppers, riders, couriers and Yamunaa staff with respect.
- Only list products you have in stock, or can make within the handling time you show.
- Keep your business details, tax registration numbers, licences, pickup address and bank account up to date.
- Follow the laws of every country you sell from or into, including tax, labelling, food safety, product safety and consumer protection rules. For example, UK and EU sellers follow VAT and UKCA or CE rules, and sellers in India follow GST, Legal Metrology, FSSAI and BIS rules.
- Do not interfere with another seller’s listings, reviews, orders or reputation.
Examples
Allowed
- Pausing your store in Seller Hub while you are away for a family wedding.
- Setting a longer handling time for handmade pottery so you can meet it.
- Updating stock counts every evening after in-store sales.
Not allowed
- Keeping an item listed as in stock after it has run out, then cancelling orders.
- Letting messages from shoppers go unanswered for a week.
- Placing orders on a competitor’s store and cancelling to block their stock.
Your Account Status page
Account Status shows your performance against every target, any strikes on your account, when each strike expires, and any limits in place. It also lets you request a review of a decision. Check it every week.
Sellers who stay above every target for 90 days earn the Top Seller badge and move to a 3 day payout cycle.
What happens if you break this policy
- Falling below a target for two weeks in a row leads to a warning, then recommendation limits.
- Falling below a target for 60 days can lead to listing suspension and a review of your account.
- Conduct violations count as strikes and follow the strike ladder.
